May we introduce our new Nurse!

Home Instead of Savannah welcomes our new Nurse – Sandi Cannon-Austin!  - New as our nurse, not new to our family.  Sandi has been a part of Home Instead Senior Care, sharing her caring and compassionate heart as a CAREGiver since September of 2009.  Quality care has always been very important to Sandy who spent 43 years as a registered nurse.  A few years ago, she decided to retire, but found she still wanted to serve.  Becoming a CAREGiver gave her that opportunity, just at a little slower and less demanding pace.  Now, as our nurse, with our focus on the quality of care we provide, Sandy is a perfect fit.  It is our good fortune that she has decided to step back into a nursing role.

"An Evening of Laughter" - May 8th!!

The Greater Savannah Coalition on Aging invites you to join them on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 for "An Evening of Laughter" at the Coastal Georgia Center. Jeanne Robertson, star of Sirius Radio's Laugh USA family comedy channel, will entertain us and Sonny Dixon will join us as Master of Ceremony!  "An Evening of Laughter" is being sponsored by the Greater Savannah Coalition on Aging (GSCOA) and its member organizations as an alternative to the annual GSCOA Spring Seminar. The event will be a fun and educational evening for all ages. Bring your parents^ grandparents and children out for a pre-Mother's Day family outing!

Jeanne Robertson is a professional speaker and humorist whose stories are based on life experiences. Speaking to thousands of people annually, she utilizes her positively funny style to illustrate that a sense of humor is much more than a laughing matter; it is a strategy for success. Sonny Dixon is a native of Savannah, Georgia and the Emmy Award-winning anchor of The News at Five and Six on WT0C-TV and solo-anchor of The News Now.

"An Evening of Laughter" wilt held be on May 8th, 2012, 6pm - 8pm at the Coastal Georgia Center at 305 Fahm Street in downtown Savannah. Cash bar available. Tickets are $20 general admission in advance or $25 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased with cash or check at the following locations:
